This is a quick walk around of my 1982 Buick Century with the factory diesel motor. Late 70′s and early 80s Gm diesel cars and light trucks came with factory 350 diesel V8 and 4.3 V6 diesels. these cars and trucks are very rare so I’ve done by best to make a running and driving example. In the most rare form these diesels came with a 4 speed standard Trans-axle. this was only offered in the Pontiac 6000 and Chevy Celebrities, along with and unknown model’s of RWD cars. As scene in my other videos. i have spend well over 3 years rebuilding, moding and making this car street ready. The car is build on the GM front wheel drive A-body platform, those allowing me to add many upgrades and tweaks from other years. i have taken the time to add a quick ratio steering rack FE3 options Oldsmobile’s found in 88+ model years. I have also swapped in a custom Trans-axle setup using a 4 speed Muncie trans-axle found 84-86 Chevy Celebrities and Pontiac 6000′s. This Trans-Axle is also found in 84-88 Pontiac Fiero’s. the clutch noise is due to using a clutch with a hub dampener designed for a gas engine so it chatters at any rpm below 1500. The Engine has been totally rebuilt by my self using mods from a few other Oldsmobile diesel enthusiasts. the motor is bored .020 over, with total seal gap less piston rings. the cam is ground down just a touch. I’ve added Harland Sharp full roller rockers from a Oldsmobile 455. this was a very easy upgrade due to the fact that the 350 and 4.3 diesel ……
