15" Wooden Ship Wheel
The Hampton Nautical 15-inch Diameter Wooden Ship's Wheel is made from a rare high quality wood, Shisham, and is by far the highest quality ship wheels available. The 15" ship wheel has six spokes. The spokes are skillfully turned and the wheels are assembled with plugged screw heads. The brass center hubs have a standard one-inch (25.4 mm) diameter hole and machined key ways. The wheel's thickness is 1 3/4 inch (4.4 cm) and the wheel weighs 5 pounds. Shisham is very similar to the Teak that we all know to be an extremely hard warring hardwood that will sustain the elements. In addition the center of the wheel is solid brass. Brass Nautical Round Sundial Compass 3"
The Hampton Nautical solid brass round sundial compass is hinged and a curved scale is used to set your local latitude angle. The magnetic compass allows the sundial to be oriented North. The compass features a needle lift mechanism to protect the compass's jeweled bearing when being transported. There are three adjustable legs that are used to precisely level the sundial. The sun's shadow cast by the sundial's vane marks the local time. The top of the sundial can lay down flat, and both the latitude scale and the sundial vane are hinged to lay flat for compact storage. The sundial measures 3" L x 3" W x 1" H when collapsed, the body of the compass is close to 2 inches in diameter, and the sundial weighs almost 1 pound. The sundial compass is available in a polished finish. A beautiful hardwood case is included for display and storage of the brass sundial. The sextant comes with a beautiful rosewood box which weighs 4 pounds. The case is made out of a high quality smooth finish hardwood.
