Robert Pollard has been one of the most acclaimed and prolific figures in American indie rock since 1992 when his band Guided by Voices released their homemade album Propeller and unexpectedly caught the attention of a handful of influential rock critics. Since then Pollard has played a steady stream of concerts and released literally dozens of albums with Guided by Voices as well as several side projects and later as a solo artist.
