Musical video of an epic 2009 battle taking place in a Juno Beach, Florida yard that is home to the woodpecker and squirrel. A pair of woodpeckers started a nest hole and were ready to fight off threats. The dead palm tree is a rare find and was left standing in a residental area not known for bird or wildlife friendly landscaping such as this. The tree died after multiple hurricanes hit the area on numerous years. The owners were considering cutting down the palm when the woodpecker chose the trunk for a home. The nest produced a few young and the nest was returned to again in 2010. This yard contains no chemicals and the birds survived the very cold winter of 2010 with numerous food sources from plants allowed to create seeds and small fruits.
