Recorded live at The Boston Music Hall in Boston, Massachusetts on October 14, 1974. This song is from the self titled debut album KANSAS and the performance is from the tour to promote that album. The bass is overdriven in this recording but you may adjust on playback. The song was written by Kerry Livgren and Steve Walsh. It was inspired by the famous German novelist Herman Hesse’s novel “Narcissus and Goldmund”. I don’t think that I’ve ever seen such a big, expressive smile from Steve ……
